The Washington Post ran an article on Jan.15 by staff writer Warren Brown titled "Amid Hybrid Hype,A Lonely Advocate of Fuel Cells." The article focuses on Noordin Nanji,marketing vice president of Ballard Power Systems,finding lukewarm reception for fuel cell vehicles(FCVs)from journalists at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit,what with all the OEMs putting their latest hybrid vehicles in the spotlight,and the attendant hype.Brown states,"The problem is that fuel cells are no longer sexy.They've been eclipsed in the media's mind and,thus,in the mind of the public,by gasoline-and diesel-electric hybrid technology."
