Juliet is a rather rough apple variety which was planted first in the seventies and would have sunk into obscurity. Benoit Es- cande, world traveller and plant producer from the Department Lot-et-Ga-ronne found it by chance. He used to comb the planet for new or old varieties, the features of which are sometimes underestimated.
