The Bernard Belleau Award will be presented to a scientist residing in Canada who has made a distinguished contribution to the field of medicinal chemistry through research involving biochemical or organic chemical mechanisms.Donald Weaver holds a Canada Research Chair, Tier 1, in neuroscience at Dalhousie University where he is a professor in the department of chemistry, faculty of science and a professor in the faculty of medicine.
