IT'S a busy time for the Scalloway-based North Atlantic Fisheries College and its new director, Peter Dryburgh, Commenting on his role, Peter said: "The post is very diverse, We have a college providing 84 different courses, serving over 1,000 students per year and running over 20 research projects; SSQC Ltd operating marine farm services, inspectorate services and laboratories; right through to a busy seafood restaurant. "The Shetland Islands Council (SIC) grant to the NAFC for 2004/5 is almost identical to that for 2003/4 but the college is taking over the running of several SIC functions, so we are doing more for the same budget, We will continue to monitor the potential for funding from outside organisations."
