Just like the multitude of flooring options that lay atop them, the advanced technology, performance, simplicity of application and green qualities of adhesives continue to grow. And de spite a recent price increase from several adhesives manufacturers due to higher costs on raw materials, retailers say it's still worth it to choose a high-quality product and not cut corners. "You're spending a lot of money on your flooring," said Britton Smith, sales director for Abbey Carpet in Woodbridge, Va. "The product that you're putting on top is always more expensive than the adhesive for it, so we do not skimp when it comes to adhesives."
