Novozymes 3Q 2007 net rises less than expected

Enzyme specialist Novozymes A/S reported a 6.2% increase in profit for 3Q 2007.The gain was lower than analyst projections,brought about by hikes in energy and raw material costs.Net income grew year-on-year to DKR 241 M (46.1 M).Sales climbed by 5.9% to DKR 1.86 bn,on increased revenue from detergents and biofuel enzymes.The value of products sold was higher by 15% in Jan-Sep 2007 at DKR 5.59 bn,while net profit for the period rose by 21 % including one-off items.Sales of detergent enzymes rose by 13% in local currencies in the first nine months of 2007 (+11% in DKR) compared with the same period of 2006.
