SUNKAR RESOURCES has announced results for its pilot plant tests for the production of phosphoric acid from its Chilisai phosphate rock (17% P2O5) mining site in northwest Kazakhstan into phosphoric acid, according to a company press release. The company said that two independent pilot plant tests by KEMWorks and Prayon Technologies SA have confirmed that Chilisai rock is amenable to commercial conversion into phosphoric acid; Another test is being conducted by Jacobs Engineering, results of which are currently being finalised and will be announced shortly although management believe these will largely be in line with the results from the other two contractors.
