The evolution of switching polarization (P_r~s)suppression, in Pb(Zr, Ti)O_3 films, induced by two differentelectric treatments is addressed in terms of the nonlinear dielectricresponse. The ac electric field dependence of dielectric permittivitywas collected at different fatigue states and the Rayleigh law wasused to interpret the fatigue dependence of the nonlinear response.This approach has enabled us to distinguish between two fatiguestates induced by the different electric treatments.
