In November 2005, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration working group called for updates to FDA's Current Good Manufacturing Practices regulations. To address food safety in seafood and other products, improved training, audits, documentation, and evaluations were proposed. Due by September 30, FDA's Announced Notice of Public Rulemaking should closely reflect the new GMPs.
