When CHS Inc. opened its second soybean processing plant back around 1998in Fairmont, MN (507-238-8900), the cooperative chose to handle soybeans with approximately 1.25 million bushels worth of upright slipform concrete storage. That was fine for the times, but since then, production at Fairmont had grown to thepoint where a lot more space was needed tostore soybeans awaiting processing.
