Illinois inventor develops gypsum board tapering device

US:Wayne B.Barnett of Joliet,III.,has developed a tapering device for removing portions of a gypsum board.A device and method for forming a non-tapered end of a gypsum board into a tapered configuration or portion includes a rotary drive tool that imparts rotary motion to a tool bit removably secured thereto,a pair of oppositely disposed angle members having cooperating base portions configured to promote attaching a dust collection collar to the base portions,the angle members disposing and guiding the rotating tool bit between outer paper walls of a non-tapered end of the gypsum board to ultimately sever portions of gypsum from the non-tapered end thereby forming a recess without damaging the outer paper walls of the gypsum board.
