Resource investment company AuSelect Ltd is moving into a new phase of development after its takeover of Melbourne-based Sedimentary Holdings NL, 30 percent-owner of the Cracow gold mine, 450km north-west of Brisbane. The takeover came after Sedimentary saw its proposed merger with Canadian miner Premier Gold Mines Ltd fall apart in late August. In a saga which at times threatened to get dirty, AuSelect finally came out with the prize in early September on the back of its unconditional scrip offer.
