Summer Lovin: Have a blast filling that summer bloom gap

Planning for late-summer interest in thegarden can be challenging, but it has become a special interest of mine over the years since July and August are the months when I am home to enjoy the garden the most. Plants that flower in late summer often have the additional bonus of attractive foliage that makes them desirable in the garden even when they're not in bloom. In fact, some are grown primarily for their foliage and flowers; when that occurs, they are simply the icing on the cake
