Egypt’s state-run energy company EGAS has awarded four licences to explore for oil and gas in its sector of the Mediterranean Sea, the country’s petroleum ministry announced on Tuesday. BP and Edison were each awarded a block, with a consortium of BP and Eni awarded a block and the final block being awarded to a consortium of Eni, BP and Total.
