ExxonMobil upbeat on Q3

ExxonMobil posted higher-than-expected Q3 results as production increased for the first time in more than two years, although refining weakness hit earnings. ExxonMobil last reported a quarterly gain in production in Q2 2011. Q3 2013 oil and natural gas output rose 1.5% from Q3 2012 to 4m boe/d, helped by the start-up of new projects, said ExxonMobil.
