Bisphenol A(BPA),a component in polycarbonate,is back in the headlines after a new study published in September suggested a potential link with both heart disease and diabetes(page 9).The researchers used an established methodology for identifying areas of potential health concern.They took data from a previous study of BPA concentrations in the urine of 1,455 adults in the US and used statistical techniques to analyse incidence of other key conditions.
