摘要

Effect of fungicides and botanicals were studied for their efficacy by assessing per cent inhibition of conidial germination of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata]. Among the systemic fungicides tricyclazole showed maximum inhibition conidial germination followed by benomyl and hexaconazole, least inhibition was recorded in thiophanate methyl. Among the non-systemic fungicides copper oxychloride showed maximum per cent inhibition of conidial germination followed by SAAF and least spore inhibition was recorded in mancozeb. Twenty-one plant species aqueous extracts were screened by spore germination inhibition method to know their fungitoxic nature. Among them, three plant extracts, viz., Ocimum sanctum [Ocimum tenuiflorum], Allium sativum, Allium cepa showed more than 70% inhibition of spore germination and 11 plant showed more than 50 and less than 70% inhibition of spore germination at (7.5%) concentration.
