摘要

Thomas Friedman, New York Times columnist, thrice Pulitzer Prize winner, and author of the book, The World is Flat [1], has given a name to a concept all educators recognize. He said, "Give me a young person with a high-curiosity quotient and a real passion quotient for learning and I'll take them over the kid with the high-intelligence quotient 7 days a week." This has been expressed as CQ + PQ > IQ.We all can identify a student who may not have been the brightest student in class, but was the one who asked interesting questions, displayed sincere interest, and never worried about lost points on an examination. We also can remember other students who had great grades but rarely asked probing questions and seemed to lack interest in the subject matter.
