Amerada Hess is pushing on with plans for a floating production facility for its latest deepwater discovery in the US Gulf, with a Tension Leg Platform the favoured concept.The US operator's well on its 100%-owned Pony discovery in Green Canyon Block 468 was recently revealed to have hit approximately 300ft (91m) of net pay. The well is still being drilled towards a planned total depth of 32,500ft (9,906m), in order to test additional objective sections before a full suite of logs is run at TD.
