Technip surges as offshore drops

Technip posted a 92.3% surge in first half profit to US 203m, as sharp rises in operating profitability in the SURF and onshore-downstream sectors offset a decline in offshore facilities operations.Second quarter net profit was 109m, up 54.6%. Sales for the second quarter were 2.53 Bn, up 16.1% from the same period last year.
