Technip Offshore UK Awards Weatherford/Norson a Contract for Offshore Pipeline Pre-Commissioning Services

The Pipeline & Specialty Services (P&SS) division of Weatherford International Ltd.and Norson Services Ltd.have been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by Technip Offshore UK Ltd.for the provision of pipeline pre-commissioning services as part of the development of the Simian,Sienna and Sapphire gas fields on the West Delta Deep Marine (WDDM) tract.Weatherford explained on 15 June that the contract,which will be managed from project offices in Aberdeen,was awarded to Weatherford Free Zone Egypt in February.Technip Offshore is the main contractor for this development project,for which it was awarded a contract worth more than US550 million by Burullus Gas Company (AOG,16 Aug.,2003).
