HOUSING STANDARDS -A NEW APPROACH

Since 2011 the government has been carrying out a review of housing standards which are being applied to the design and construction of new premises. Working groups comprised of the key stakeholders began a process of examining the vast array of standards applied to construction both on a national and Local basis. It rapidly became dear that as the industry planned to recover from the recession there was a need for a simple set of consistent standards which could be applied across the country.
