Saipem has been awarded three new offshore drilling contracts worth a total of US 830m for the charter of Saipem's Scarabeo 7,Scarabeo 3 and Scarabeo 6 drilling rigs offshore West Africa and Egypt.Eni awarded Saipem a contract for the Scarabeo 7 offshore West Africa for three years,with work starting in the fourth quarter of 2011.Scarabeo 7 is capable of operating in water depths of up to 4,922ft(1,500m)and drilling to depths of up to 27,889ft(8,500m).
