The book is edited by Professor Jose de Leon, a leading world expert in the fields of neuropsycho-pharmacology and pharmacogenetics and the author of hundreds of scientific publications that have been cited thousands of times. Jose de Leon, MD, Aimee Chambers, PharmD, Mark Hyatt, MD, Robert Aug, MD, Keith Sinclair, MD, Meriem Nensalem-Owen, MD, Warren Milteer, MD, Pradeep Modur, MD, Edward Maxwell, MD, Edoardo Spina, MD, PhD, Lairence J. Kinsella, MD, and Nirbhay N. Singh, PhD, worked on this remarkable book. The guidelines were developed using prescribing information and a review of the available literature. It is important to note that the use of antiepileptics and mood stabilizers in individuals with mental retardation is a poorly developed and neglected area of neuropsychopharmacology.
