In the coming months, the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) and its member associations will work with the NTC to ensure a smooth transition from the existing driving hours schedule. The jurisdictions that intend to adopt the NTC's package must take measures to inform the industry about the changes to requirements enshrined in the package. The ATA will be working with government to prevent unintentional breaches from occurring and maximise the positive safety outcomes from the package.
