Online Legal Research Tutorials for Undergraduates: Connecting the Net Generation with the Law

This article calls for basic legal research instruction for undergraduates, in order to enable these students to identify, find, and access legal information sources to use in their academic research, and in their daily lives as citizens of a democracy. The article posits that online tutorials are a key way to offer legal research instruction to today's “Net Generation” of undergraduates. The article offers suggestions to librarians for designing online legal research tutorials and provides examples from six academic libraries.
