The present study gives a detailed description based on the preparation of compost by using suitable earthworms. The compost using domestic waste, the physical chemical constituents like lignin, Cellulose, Cellulase and laccase activity was analysed for a period of time intervals ( 30th, 45, 60th, and 75 day). Four different substrates (Parthenium, Black gram waste, Paddy husk and saw dust) were selected . The composting materials along with tank silt and cowdung. Tank silt, cowdung were kept as common materials, which were mixed with above organic materials . Analysis of composts revealed that all the waste combinations showed decrease in their lignin, cellulose, cellulose and laccase content after a longer period of composting. The nutrient content was reduced with increasing a number of days. The carbon source available for the growth of thermophilic fungi is polysaccharide, which is one of the constituents of the biomass. The purpose of the study is to document whether the selected technique for this recycling is effective at bioconversion of agricultural waste into compost.
