Isolation and identification of mange-mites and dermatophytes in dogs

摘要

The identification of mange - mites from skin scraping of 330 clogs was done on the basis of their morphological characters and cultural growth. Mange - mites isolated and identified were Sarcoptes scabiei, Demodex canis and Otodectes cynotis. Dermatophytes isolated and identified were Microsporum canis , Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Microsporum gypseum and Trichophyton simii.
