Taking the place of ball bearings,slewing ring bearings from igus (East Providence,Rl) use two self-lubricating,low-friction polymer sliding elements.These PRT modules are said to be highly wear-resistant,maintenance-free,and easy to install.The rings feature aluminum housings,stainless steel screws,and the polymer sliding elements that are made from igus' iglide material,which contains a solid lubricant.
