Hydrothermal reactions of lead(II) salts with N-isobutylimino-bis(methylene-phosphonic acid),C_4H_9N(CH_2PO_3H_2)_2 (H_4L),under different conditions lead to two new lead(II) diphosphonates,namely,a layered Pb_10L_2(HL)_4 1,and Pb_2L 2 with a micro-porous network structure.
