King and Cortina (2010) describe severalways in which organizations can promoteequity in the workplace environment forlesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered(LGBT) employees. We commend theauthors for promoting such inclusivenessand describing both the moral and fiscallyresponsible reasons for doing so. Weare hopeful that employers will heedthe valuable suggestions offered by Kingand Cortina and work to adopt formalpolicies that protect the rights of LGBTemployees, launch diversity initiatives tomake LGBT employees feel more accepted,and advocate on behalf of LGBT interests.
