Of late, there has been a burgeoning preoccupation with the usage of natural plant extracts to replace the need for drugs for various diseases and also for our general well-being. Possible applications of these natural substances to counter even such diseases as cancer have been investigated. Studies show a relationship between consumption of fruits and vegetables, and a decrease in the occurrence of cancer and fatalities from cardiovascular disease. The results of those studies showcase that the key aspects associated with this decrease are dietary fiber and phytochemical content.
