It is shown that the correctness of x-ray fluorescence analysis data obtained by equations of relationship with theoretical or regressional α-coefficients can be improved substantially using an adequate approximation of the relation C{sub}i = f(I{sub}i). Regression equations for determination of element concentration C based on the concept of a "neighbor specimen" are derived. Criteria for the search of neighbor specimens are proposed.
