Diesel gets a new lease of life - A more environmentally friendly diesel is making its way into fuel tanks around the world

Diesel will live on as conventional mainstream fuel after the world's oil reserves run out. That is the view of Finland's largest oil company, Neste Oil, which has developed the world's first diesel fuel made entirely from renewable materials. Its NExBTL diesel is made from raw materials including animal fats, palm oil and rapeseed oil. Despite similar raw materials being used for bio-diesel, NExBTL does not fall under this category.
