Contamination of Milk & Milk Products with chemicals and biological agents is a major public health problem, Foodstuffs can become contaminated by various causes and processes. National authorities have the responsibility and obligation that toxic chemicals such as heavy metals, aflatoxins, veterinary drugs, pesticide residues and other contaminants, are not present in food at levels that may adversely affect the health of consumers, Ideally food should be completely free from such contaminants. This is a Utopian goal considering the current agriculture and technological practices prevailing in developing/developed countries.
