Synthesis and herbicidal activity of 1,3,10-triaryl-imidazolo[4,5-e]pyrido[1,2-a]-2,3,4,10-tetrahydro-pyrimidin-2-thiones

摘要

The arylidenes 2 containing an #alpha#,#beta#-unsaturated ketonic function (-CH=CH-CO-) have been used as a component of Michael addition with equimolar amounts of 2-aminopyridine to give 3 in a single step.Four compounds 3b,3d,3j and 31 display notable herbicidal activity as compared to 2,4-D,when tested under similar conditions.
