Edible nut market in Japan.

It is reported that the overall import of nuts by Japan has increased from 77 000 t in 1997 to 82 000 in 2001. It is also observed that the share of cashew among nut imports by Japan has decreased from 8% in 1998 to 7% in 2001. Details on Japan's nut imports by origin and its cashew market, are presented.
