The theme of breakthrough in equipment and design process technologies was covered by Dr. A. K. Chatterjee, Director, ACC, during the inaugural function. It was mentioned that since the 150 years portland cement the industry was invented has reached the mark of 1.6 billion tons global cement, the manufacturing capacity. Globally, this capacity has been achieved mainly due to the technological growth.
