The increasing susceptibility of vegetables to various biotic and abiotic stresses and very high cost of hybrid seeds have warranted the attention of vegetable growers to improve their nursery raising technology. Nowadays, protected nursery raising of vegetables has become a full-fledged industry in Israel, Japan, Spain, the Netherlands and USA. For protected cultivation, it is prerequisite to raise required seedlings only under protected environment.
