THE EUROPEAN Parliament and the council of ministers have approved stricter rules for the use of potentially toxic materials in medical devices such as surgical equipment or implants.Under the agreement,medical devices that include substances considered to be carcinogenic,mutagenic or reprotoxic (CMRs) will have to be labeled as such.
