Diverse forms of industry-academia collaborations - The 8th Promise for the Future: All-star Design Showcase at AXIS gallery

This exhibition introducing promising human resources who will lead the future of design saw its 8th event this year and was held from August 29 to September 8. This time around under the theme "Industry-academia collaborations/regional cooperation - fostering the power of the future in the real world," students selected from universities throughout Japan presented their achievements through working together with corporations and local communities. By being exposed to society, how did they interpret the issues we are facing directly and draw out solutions through design? The exhibition demonstrated their processes and encouraged us to reexamine the effective forms and significance of industry-academia collaborations and regional cooperation.
