What is the old saying, "You can't go back..."? Well there are not many of us in West Texas, or the whole country for that matter, who would want to go back to the summers of 2011 or 2012. The were the days when you stepped outside and it felt like you stepped into your dryer; when even my drought resistant plants were begging for mercy. Well, thank God all droughts have come to an end leaving us stronger and even more resilient. Watching my husband, and our herd, persevere through three severe droughts over the years has taught me to-be thankful for our blessings, to always pray for rain and to look forward to tomorrow, which is always one day closer to that rain.
