PIVOT CHANGES SHARE STRUCTURE: Recognising the value of shares

AUSTRALIA'S biggest farmer -owned fertiliser co-operative, the Victorian-based Pivot Ltd, is overhauling its share structure to protect itself against a takeover and to help with its expansion into Queensland and northern NSW. The move has been backed by the co-op's biggest shareholder and longtime critic, Doug Shears, and his company, Cityfarm Pty Ltd. Shears and Cityfarm have since divested most of their shareholding in Pivot.
