AUSTAL DELIVERS MEDIUM-SPEED RO-PAX TO FRENCH POLYNESIAAustal has recently handed over the 80-metre, medium-speed Ro-Pax catamaran 'Aremiti Ferry 2' to French Polynesian operator SNC Aremiti Ferry.The fourth vessel delivered to the client by Austal, the Auto Express-series vessel will go into service between the islands of Papeete and Moorea.Designed at Austal's Henderson headquarters and constructed at the shipbuilder's new facility in Balamban in the Philippines, the GL-surveyed vessel measures 79.6 metres in length overall, with a beam of 17 metres and a draught of 3.5 metres. The vesselcan transport up to 1,000 passengers and almost 150 vehicles on board.
