摘要

It sounds like it should be central to the plot of an Alistair MacLean novel or another World War II epic from Hollywood, but it's not. That the Nazi's plundered the banks, museums and art galleries of Europe is no secret and it was actually the subject of a recent movie, The Monuments Men, which featured the exploits of a handful of Allied soldiers assigned the task of tracking down this stolen property. What we now have though, is two men, one a Pole and one a German, who claim they know the location of a heavily armoured Nazi train that was rumoured to be hidden away in a tunnel during the dying days of the Second World War - a train that might contain many tons of gold and other valuables.
