According to the Credit Exchange Agency Co., Ltd., the number of bankruptcies of Japanese textile and apparel firms in 2014 (liabilities of 10 million yen or over and including liquidation and voluntary liquidation) decreased by 4.8% or 22 cases from the previous year to 439 cases, which is the lowest in ten years.
