摘要

Using the resource-based view of the firm, a research model which includes three hypotheses is developed concerning strategic global sourcing, sourcing personnel's business capabilities, and firm business performance. The model is tested using structural equation modeling based on data collected from the U.S. textile and apparel industry. The findings of the study indicate that strategic global sourcing leads to greater emphasis on sourcing personnel' business capabilities and positively impacts the firm's business performance. The paper concludes with implications, limitations, and direction for future research.
