The Ukrainian government’s campaign to restore authority over nominally state-controlled crude producer Ukrnafta is running into problems. The possible removal of Ukrnafta chief executive Peter Vanhecke is not due to be discussed at a supervisory board meeting scheduled for 29 May, which should approve a date and agenda for the next shareholder annual general meeting (AGM). Energy minister Volodymir Demchishin previously said that the AGM would be held on 26 or 27 May and that the removal of Vanhecke would be the main item on the agenda (FSUE, 21 May, p7).
