Rosneft looks to Iraq co-operation

Rosneft chief executive Igor Sechin told Iraqi prime minister Nouri al- Maliki this week that the firm is ready to hold “a technical audit” of the country’s existing oil facilities and offer support in oil exploration and development. “Iraq has high potential for oil production,” Sechin said. “We are sure that only large-scale bilateral projects will allow efficient development of the Iraqi economy.”
