The Azerbaijan International Operating Company reported that subsea pipelay activities for the Central Azeri project began on 28 June using the upgraded pipelay barge Israfil Huseynov and a flotilla of other marine support vessels under contract to McDermott Caspian Contractors. The new 186km, 30in oil line will connect field production, drilling and quarters platform DQ1 with the Sangachal onshore terminal.
